This master plan sheet certifies a variety of installation conditions for the Hurricane Fabric – AstroGuard – Fabric Hurricane Protection System. . This document has been designed to meet the requirements of the referenced building code and upon ordering will be signed and sealed by a Professional Engineer of the firm. Use it along with your other project documents to obtain a building permit.

How To Use This Document:

1. Determine the site-specific design pressures for the area in question by an approved design method (by others or by separate certification).  Click Here for help.
2. Match up the substrate along with each opening’s pressures to the approved ratings and anchorage requirements on this plan.
3. Check local codes for any additional requirements prior to applying for a permit (such as egress, separation from glass, fire, and other requirements which are outside the scope of this certification)
4. Submit this generic performance evaluation along with all other site-specific project information to the governing building department for permit.
